May be you are very curious about why it is called Blue House or why the color of this house is blue?

Let me tell you about that. In 1970, Land Development
had to renovate the external wall. However, there are only the blue
paint during the period of  renovation so the colour of the house was blue. Also, it called Blue House
because the blue color painted on the wall .

Blue house, it is the 4-storey balcony located at

It is one of the few remaining examples of Tong Lau with balcony type in Hong Kong.

The original site of the Blue House was “Hua Tuo Temple and Hospital “(華陀廟, 華陀醫院)which operated from 1867-1903. After that the temple site was changed to the present tenement in 1920. Before the 2nd World War, the Ground floor no.72 was used as “Kand Ham Free School “ (鏡涵義學)( now “Lam Chun Hin Osteopathy Clinic”林鎮顯鐵打醫館) .

There are the “Wan Chai Livehood Museum “ is located on Ground floor  and operated  by a community group.
